We love and miss you Braden, “Our Forever Baby”!
Love – Dad, Mom, Kaitlynn, and Logan
We were expecting our second child on November 24, 2006 (the day before mom’s 28th birthday). Mom and Dad had been working on getting the new house all finished and ready so we were settled in before you were born. Mom and several good friends and family had spent the weekend painting the new house. We did your baby room in blue, yellow, and green as we had not wanted to find out your gender. We painted a border in your room that said “Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. Guide me safely through the night, and wake me with the morning light.”
Sunday evening and Monday morning, mom noticed that you were not moving. She called the doctor and scheduled an appointment—just as a precaution. At the appointment, the doctor was not able to find your heartbeat on the dopler and so we went and had an ultrasound done. They told us that you no longer had a heartbeat as the cord was around your neck. The doctor explained our options. We went home that night to process the shattering news. Mom and Dad then went into the hospital the next day to deliver you. You were delivered at 6:17pm at 4lbs and 14oz. You were surrounded by family and we all held you and cried at the terrible loss. We still miss you so very much and can’t wait to meet you again some day!!
