Why we walk
We began participating in the March of Dimes March for Babies in 2011 after we lost our third baby, Gaelen Evangeline. We are passionate about this cause because it funds both research and programs to help both pregnant mothers and their babies, understand the cause and reduce the instances of birth defects and premature delivery, and provide support to families with children in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit).
Will you help us?
This year, I’ve raised my personal goal to $1,500, and as an incentive in honor of Calvin Phoenix‘s 6th heavenly birthday, I’m doing a giveaway. Every person who sponsors our walk for $10 or more before the end of the day on March 5 will be entered in a drawing to win a custom glass pendant.
The winner will be randomly drawn and announced on Friday, March 6.*
*I apologize for the delay in announcing the winners. My whole family got the flu last week, and I currently have bronchitis (which included a trip to the ER and a nebulizer treatment). Thankfully, we are on the mend.
